Collection rules
The Satoshi Monument collection is a public, community-driven initiative run by the association The Malahar Network z.s. So everything is clear and transparent from the start, here's what happens to your contributions in each possible scenario.
If the target is reached
The statue by Italian artist Valentina Picozzi — the same one standing in Lugano or Tokyo — will be purchased and installed in Prague. The final location is being negotiated with the city; until it is technically and administratively confirmed, the statue will be temporarily displayed at a suitable place (we are considering, for example, the premises of partner institutions). Once the statue finds its permanent home, the collection website will turn into the monument's permanent website, and a QR code on the pedestal will link to the project's story and the list of all supporters.
If the target is not reached
No contribution goes to waste. The funds raised will be redirected in full to developing the project — specifically to preparing Variant 2, an open competition for an original Czech monument. Part of the funds may be devoted to bitcoin education via the INEV project. The Satoshi Monument Board, accountable to the Jednadvacet community, decides on the exact allocation.
If we raise more
A pleasant problem — and one we're ready for. Any surplus will be divided among:
- →preparing Variant 2 (an original Czech statue, open art competition)
- →the Jednadvacet.org budget for community development
- →supporting bitcoin education via INEV
The Satoshi Monument Board will publish the exact split of any surplus with proper justification.
Transparency
All incoming contributions are carefully recorded. The running total is public and visible in real time on the main page. The Board keeps the Jednadvacet community informed about the project's status.
